Partners in Care

Partners in Care (PIC) helps older adults so they can stay in their own homes. The workers give their time and talent to help them.

In this program we met Helen. Helen is a very kind person and we learned interesting things about her. For example, she has played violin since she was seven years old. She travels a lot, and has been to many places. “God made a nice world and we only live in a little corner,” Helen said.

One of the sad things was that she lives alone but she said that she is happy because of the help that PIC gives to the older people. Helen said that she had been with PIC for 10 years. She pays them by donating stuff to the Partners in Care Boutique. This boutique is a store where people donate and buy things to help the older people.

I think that PIC is helpful to Helen because without them she is not able to repair the things that are damaged in her house.
